I have been in the social services field for 27 years, beginning with working in children’s homes and moving to working with special needs populations and on to state work in investigations with children and adults. After receiving my Master’s degree and certification, I moved into the area of behavior supports and therapeutic foster care. After receiving my license I worked for a brief period in a hospital setting and moved on to in-home programs to provide therapy for families at high risk of losing custody of their children. For the past 13 years, I have been in a private practice setting providing therapy to clients while accepting all forms of insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and EAP’s. After much thought and prayer, I have moved to therapeutic life coaching and consulting in an effort to be more effective with my clients. In this capacity, I am able to provide a more focused service, instead of making sure that the needs of the insurance companies are met. I am also able to offer a wider range of services instead of only offering those services for which there is a billing code. I have been a guest on The Pantsuit Politics Podcast, Mike Field’s Coaching Podcast and featured in Canvas Rebel and Bold Journey.
